Welcome to the dilettante, a dossier of guides, analyses, and opinions on culture, travel, leisure, and life, for the endlessly curious, modern, multifaceted woman.

My 30s have been flooded with endless ideas, but plagued with anxiety around how to execute them. In an age where everything can be monetized and a culture where everyone asks about your end goal, we’re pressured to have a reason for why we do certain things. We seem to have to have a plan, an exit strategy, a grand scheme to succeed in what we choose to spend our free time on.

That creates so many boundaries. So many creative blocks. You start thinking about niches and things that might attract a large audience.

Unfortunately, my non-medicated-not-officially-diagnosed-but-99%-certain ADHD brain can’t deal with that. My gut responses is always extreme annoyance when someone asks “so what’s your plan?”

What if we just did something for fun for once? What if I just want to write about life and what I learn in life. Share my interests, fun facts, and opinions with whoever is interested, in a way we did like when we were teens. You didn’t have to be anything, you just had to be you.

If you’re someone who resists being defined by a single pursuit, profession, or path, follows what interests you, and want to build a life driven by intuition, taste, and curiosity, then you’ve come to the right place.

I can’t really say what my writing might turn into. What I can say is that I’ll try to offer as much useful and educational content, as I do entertaining.

Let’s redefine what it means to be a dilettante together and get these normies some interests other than watching the latest reality show and making that their whole personality… whoops.
